When the traditional lyrics had me stumped for designs I decided to get creative and use the ultimate lord of christmas- Santa, as my muse! You can see him leaping over a sleeping village as gifts and Christmas magic (represented by metallic thread) spill from his overflowing sack!
Designer notes:
Because this designs includes a lot of white stitches it's important to choose a fabric that's dark enough for the white stitches to be seen. I stitched the sampler on “Fog” linen, which did not have enough contrast, and for that reason I found it necessary to back stitch around those areas using one strand of gray thread. This back stitching is not charted.
When I started designing this series I committed to doing all 12 samplers on the same fabric so that stitchers could stitch them as one piece if they choose, which is why I didn't change the linen for this release but do recommend choosing a fabric with more contrast
