Inspiration for this design came from a vintage velvet tomato pincushion. Somehow that became two squirrels stitching under an acorn "bobbin" tree, an acorn basket and an acorn drum with the text "gather and stitch."
The model is stitched on 36 count "Sea Salt" linen from Colour & Cotton using Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC floss.
