This sampler is a postcard from the heart. The sampler, designed and stitched by Nicola as a gift to her husband, has been inspired by samplers in her private collection and conveys several messages to her husband.

The sampler can be stitched on linen or aida and the .pdf comes with a full font of letters and numbers so that you can personalise your sampler.

*** At the time of this release 344 (100.3) was in short supply in the USA. The distributors for Au Ver A Soie have recommended 134, a slightly paler pink, as a suitable substitute.

Only One Rose has been stitched with a palette of 14 colours from Au Ver à Soie’s range of Soie 100.3. We have provided conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC. Only one spool or skein of each colour is required.

Nicola stitched her sampler on Legacy Linen’s Sycamore Seedpod; you should choose either linen or Aida in the count and colour that appeals to you. The project has been designed so that it is suitable for needleworkers of all levels of ability. The stitches are cross stitch over 2 threads, running stitch and satin stitch. If you are stitching on Aida the sawtooth border could be replaced with a single or parallel line of cross stitch.
