NELSON - Cross Stitch Pattern by Plum Street Samplers
In my everlasting love for all things General Washington, here we have his beloved war horse, Nelson. This is a companion to "Blueskin" (his more beautiful but skittish horse), which was released in 2018. While my version of Blueskin was designed with George's legendary cherries, Nelson has been placed among magnolias and lilacs - both of which were grown by GW on his Mount Vernon plantation. The year 1776 on "Blueskin" is, as we all know, the year America declared its independence; the year 1783 on "Nelson" is the year the Revolutionary War ended and the brave Nelson was retired to his cozy paddock at Mount Vernon.
