"This little Yuletide design can be finished as a pincushion or an ornament. The little colonial woman is holding a pineapple, which is a symbol of hospitality. Inside the chart is a portion of a poem by E.E. Cummings that inspired the design: "Little tree, little silent Christmas tree... I will comfort you because you smell so sweetly..." My original idea was for this to be a sweet gift for a friend visiting for the holidays, or attached to a welcome wreath."
Stitch count is 75 W x 60 H.
Model was stitched on 36 count Creek Bed Brown hand dyed linen from R&R Reproductions and stitched with hand dyed threads from Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works.
Pincushion was finished with Snow hand dyed Chenille from Lady Dot Creates.
