Minnie’s sampler has been reproduced using a palette of two colours from Au Ver à Soie’s range of Soie 100.3. We have provided conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC. Estimated thread quantities for varying linen counts and the number of strands of thread used have been listed below.

Linen Sizes

The model was stitched using 56ct Zweigart-based linen that was overdyed to the shade Old Sheep from xJuDesigns. We would also recommend using Legacy Linen’s Victoria Sponge Cake in 30ct, Corn Tassel in 37ct, Foxtail Millett in 45ct, or Sycamore Seedpod in 53/63ct. The sampler can be stitched on Aida, Linaida, or linen, you should use a count and fabric that you enjoy working with.

The design area is 129 stitches (w) x 166 stitches (h). Our calculations have included a 3″ margin for finishing and framing.

14ct Aida / 28ct linen: Design: 9.21″ x 11.86″ Fabric: 15.21″ x 17.86″

30ct linen: Design: 8.60″ x 11.07″ Fabric: 14.60″ x 17.07″
