"How we who cross stitch love to hold ‘Matter in Hand’, whether it is literally in hand, in hoop or stretcher bars. We love our needle in one hand and our linen in the other. This led to the naming of this pattern as the theme is celebrating needlework. It follows in the manner of Christmas Sampler and Halloween Sampler; it has the words for cross stitch in different languages. French, Spanish, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Chinese and Russian. I hope my research didn’t steer me wrong with translation. Forgive me if I have not."
