Mary Stead 1824 - Reproduction Sampler Pattern by Hands Across the Sea Samplers (PDF)

Mary stitched her sampler with cross stitch over 2 strands of linen with a palette of just 5 colours. The project has been rated as suitable for needle workers of all levels of ability and can be stitched either on Aida or linen.  We would recommend a fabric close in colour to DMC shades 842 and 3033.

The design area is 119 stitches (w) x 133 stitches (h). Our calculations have included a 3″ margin for finishing and framing.

The verse that Mary chose to stitch on her sampler “O Love the Lord and he will be a tender Father unto thee”  is in itself a very tender prayer for the year 2020 when Mary’s sampler has been reproduced for you.
