Mary Gypson 1828 - Reproduction Sampler Pattern by Whilst Iris Naps
Mary Gypson 1828 was originally an exclusive for the Homespun Needlework Facebook Group, now available for wider release.
The pattern is 291 x 316 and on 36ct fabric measures approximately 16 1/8 x 17 1/2 inches (41 x 44.5 cm). The design is predominantly cross stitch over 2 but there are a few Algerian eyelets, some satin stitch, a small amount of backstitch and a few stitches over 3 threads. Examples of the speciality stitches shown on Aida are included.
Our model is stitched using 1 strand floss over 2 linen threads (unless otherwise stated) using Weeks Dye Works floss. We have also included a DMC conversion and the Au Ver à Soie conversion to Soie D'alger that Kathy at Hobby House Needleworks kindly provided for the exclusive. The model is stitched on 36ct 'Thornfield' by Needle & Flax Linens.
