Mary Barton's Work - Reproduction Pattern by Mojo Stitches
Originally stitched in wools, partially faded over time, Mary Barton clearly loved her roses. I have reproduced the design using this partial fading, as I loved the autumnal, but still bright palette. And what is that bird?
This design has a stitch count of 84w x 90h (although some extra room should be left around the sides) and uses full crosses over two, with the text being full crosses over one. In my model, I used two strands of floss over two threads of linen. It is suitable for beginners to advanced stitchers, and can be stitched on linen or evenweave of any count that you prefer. Due to the over one section, it is not recommended for Aida.
Model stitched on 32-count ‘Ale’ by Picture This Plus. The backing fabric is by French General.
