Mary Allcorn Sampler Scissor Holder Kit - by Hobby House Press

This scissor holder was inspired by an antique sampler stitched by Mary Allcorn in 1764. This is the second of several releases, the last which will be the reproduction of the original sampler.

The design has been charted for 32 ct, 36 ct, 40 ct and 46 ct Thornfield Linen from Needle & Flax. The photo shows the wrap on 40 ct. Lower count linens will lose some detail and 46 ct will have a bit more detail.

The kit will include the pattern & wood scissor holder.  You can choose to add fabric (8.5" x 13" which includes a 2" border, enough to stitch this pattern only) and floss also - please add to cart separately. 

Wooden Scissor Holder:

The spool contains a single, 5/16" hole for your scissors and is made from Sapele wood. 

Spool specifications: height 4.75", cylinder circumference 6.25", drum height 3.5" tall to perfectly fit the Mary Allcorn Scissor Holder pattern.
