FROM THE DESIGNER: "This is a sampler with a patriotic flair centered around the famous quote written in a letter by Benjamin Franklin in 1783. Just a year earlier, the Bald Eagle became the national bird of the United States when it was placed with outspread wings on the Great Seal of our nation. The eagle is the most pictured bird in all of America. The eagle with the flag in its beak is the central focal motif of this piece and would also make an excellent small pincushion or needlebook on its own.
