Phillipa's latest design is taken from one of many scenes on the pelmets created by Rachel Kay Shuttleworth, 1886-1967, of Gawthorpe Hall, Lancashire, in northern England.

The designs on the pelmets vary in quality from the perfection of the first panels she made, the bedspread, and the two hangings, but the stitches are more interesting, more challenging, and the smaller scenes give an opportunity for changes of style as they progress around the pelmets.
