The project has been stitched using cross stitch over two threads and is rated as suitable for needleworkers of all levels of ability. Emily’s sampler and can be stitched either on Aida, Linaida, or linen.

Emily’s sampler has been reproduced using a palette of just two colours from Au Ver à Soie’s range of Soie 100.3. We have provided conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC. Estimated thread quantities for varying linen counts and the number of strands of thread used have been listed below.

Linen Sizes

The model was stitched using 56ct Zweigart-based linen that was overdyed to the shade Marbled Pointer from xJuDesigns. The sampler can be stitched on Aida, Linaida, or linen, and we recommend that you use a count and fabric that you enjoy working with.

The design area is 119 stitches (w) x 128 stitches (h). Our calculations have included a 3″ margin for finishing and framing.

14ct Aida / 28ct linen: Design: 8.5″ x 9.14″ Fabric: 14.5″ x 15.14″
