The verse reads: "God bless this land from hill to sea, Christ be the gift to set us free." Alternatively, you could leave off the verse and stitch an extra star/snowflake/pinwheel in place of the word "sea." Mary Todd seems to be enjoying her carriage/sleigh ride.
