Amy’s sampler has been reproduced using a palette of fifteen colours from Au Ver à Soie’s range of Soie 100.3. We have provided conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC. Estimated thread quantities have been listed below.

If you are using two strands of Soie d’Alger on fabric lower than 36ct, you will require two skeins of the colours noted by an asterisk.

Linen Sizes

The model was stitched using 56ct Zweigart-based linen that was over-dyed to the shade Old Sheep from xJuDesigns. The sampler is suitable for stitching on Aida, Linaida, or linen, and we recommend that you use a count and fabric that you enjoy working with.

The design area is 209 stitches (w) x 222 stitches (h). Our calculations have included a 3″ margin for finishing and framing.

14ct Aida / 28ct linen: Design: 14.93″ x 15.86″ Fabric: 20.93″ x 21.86″

30ct linen: Design: 13.93″ x 14.80″ Fabric: 19.93″ x 20.80″

16ct Aida / 32ct linen: Design: 13.06″ x 13.88″ Fabric: 19.06″ x 19.88″

18ct Aida / 36ct linen: Design: 11.61″ x 12.33″ Fabric: 17.61″ x 18.33″

20ct Aida / 40ct linen: Design: 10.45″ x 11.10″ Fabric: 16.45″ x 17.10″
