Schwalm Embroidery

Schwalm Embroidery with Christine P. Bishop. The 18th and 19th late century form of white work embroidery incorporates surface stitches, pulled fabric, drawn thread, needle lace and needle weaving, traditionally worked on pillowcases, towels, shirts & blouses. Stitched used: Satin, Chain, Coral Buttonhole, Buttonhole Semicircles (except top of bottom tulip), buttonhole (top of bottom Tulip), Rose stitch filling in bottom tulip, zig zag satin stitch and four sided stitch. Fabric Size needed: 9.84" (25cm) X 25.59" (65cm).
